The 514 Lowdown


We'd love to schedule a tour for every newly engaged couple out there! But, let's be honest, we may not be a good fit for all couples. Maybe we're not big enough for your guest list, maybe we're a bit too industrial and urban for your style. Either way, it's always best to do a little research before scheduling a tour with any potential venue for your wedding or reception, time is precious and who wants to waste time on a venue that's not a real contender?

  • Know your guest list! Write out a tentative guest list with your fiancé and parents to determine how big a space you'll need. 514 Studios can accommodate up to 150 guests seated, but anything over 150 we highly recommend a cocktail style reception. Our max capacity is 200.

  • Determine your budget. How much can you spend total? The venue fee at 514 Studios runs between $3,250 - $4,750. The venue price includes all your tables, chairs, AV and the major bonus here is we also include a day-of event coordinator. You will never regret having a day-of coordinator for your wedding. They make sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish allowing you to relax and just ENJOY your day. We've seen some couples pull off their whole wedding at 514 Studios for about $10,000 and some spend upwards to $25,000 the nice thing about our space is you can really customize your wedding to fit within a budget that is most comfortable to you.

  • What type of food & beverage do you want to offer your guests? 514 Studios has partnered with 10 (!) really amazing caterers. The nice thing about having 10 to choose from is almost everyone can find at least one caterer that fits their style and budget. AND we don't have bar minimums at 514. You have the option to provide your own beverages for your guests, but we do need you to use a licensed and insured company like With a Twist Bartending to pour for you. With a Twist is great because they can provide you with just a bartender to pour what you bring, partial bar packages or the whole nine yards!

  • Do you have a planner or Day Of Coordinator? YES! A day-of event coordinator is different than a venue manager. Our venue price includes day-of coordination services from MAVEN. They'll meet with you 4-6 weeks prior to your big day and take the reins from there, managing all your deliveries, set-up, timeline, cleanup and breakdown as well as any stressed out family members too. ;-) 

  • Do you need to get ready on site? If so, The Green Room is perfect for you! You'll have access starting at 12 noon. You're welcome to order a bit of food for lunch and schedule to have your hair and makeup done on-site. It's a great place to stash all your personal items, no need to shove stuff under the dessert table here!

  • Do you want to host your ceremony and reception at the same place? 514 Studios can accommodate that! Our contracts are for 12 hours of access, so you are more than welcome to utilize our space for both your ceremony and reception. If you want a room flip with can handle that too!

We've worked hard to make our venue an easy and stress free space to host an event, providing you with all the major items, such as tables, chairs, AV and an event coordinator, but still allowing you the freedom to select from a wide range of vendors to customize your wedding to your style and budget.

Ashley + Alec

Minneapolis had ones of those amazingly beautiful weekends that we dream about all winter. Sunshine in abundance, warm but not too warm and dry. It was a great weekend for a wedding in the North Loop. We are so thankful that Ashley and Alec selected 514 Studios as the location for their wedding celebration last weekend. What a beautifully decorated wedding! The always amazing Bre from Maven coordinated the day for the couple.
